Ștefan Ungureanu, an employee of Ocolului Silvic is sent to a mountain area to identify the den of a she-bear, as a result of a complaint made by several shepherds. The ruins of some Dacian fortresses can be found in the area that Ştefan walks through.

This place is known by the locals as the Trojan Forest, a mysterious place said to be bound by spells and curses to protect the treasures hidden here in ancient times.

Deep in the forest, Stefan discovers a field with evidence of archaeological poaching. Involved here in a conflict, Ştefan crosses a tangle of real and unreal plans, discovering his own death.
